Sea to Sky Gondola Wedding

Tea Ceremonies, First Looks &

Summit I-Do’s

Because what's better than one wedding dress? Two. And what’s better than one epic view? A full 360 of British Columbia’s finest.

Why Choose Sea to Sky Gondola for Your Wedding?

If you’re into dramatic entrances; what could be better than having your guest watch as you enter your wedding walking across a suspension bridge, while they over look Howe sound and it’s unforgettable views then the Sea to Sky Gondola is calling your name. It’s an adventure elopement with chairs, a mountaintop wedding with plumbing, and a full-on experience from the moment the gondola doors close.

  • That view, though. Howe Sound, the Chief, glacier peaks—every direction is your good side.

  • Photos? Yes please. Soft light, epic backdrops, and a suspension bridge that makes you look very brave.

  • Bonus: You can have your ceremony, portraits, and party all in one spot—just add cake!

  • It’s an All-in-one stunner: Everything you need in one intimate location, stunning views, mountain top access with no sweaty hiking, let’s get real it’s the most beautiful views in Canada, right there as your backdrop!

Meet the Couple (The Ones Who Made This Whole Day Look Effortless)

Before this mountain top wedding, there was the love story. And before the white dress, there was the red one.

This wedding started where all great stories do: at home. The bride slipped into a breathtaking traditional red Chinese wedding dress—the kind of gown that deserves its own spotlight—and prepared for one of the most playful, joyful, and utterly delightful starts to a wedding day we’ve ever seen.

Door games. Or as we like to call them: the most photogenic chaos you can have before 10 AM. It’s tradition, it’s symbolic, and it’s seriously fun. The groom and his groomsmen were met with a gauntlet of love-themed challenges set by the bridesmaids—quizzes about the bride, spicy-sour-sweet-bitter taste tests, a little bribery via ang paos, and a lot of laughter. These Chuangmen or Heng Dai Games aren’t just fun and games—they’re a beautiful way to show devotion, patience, and a whole lot of personality. And yes, they also deliver some of the best photos of the entire day.

After surviving the challenges (with full marks, might we add), the couple honoured their families with a heartfelt tea ceremony—calm, elegant, and filled with gratitude.

Cue the wardrobe change: our bride stunned in a Maggie Sottero gown from The Bridal Gallery, paired with elegant Melani Lazaro heels. And the groom? He turned up the dapper in a navy suit that was all style, no nonsense.

Together, they headed to Shannon Falls for a peaceful first look—just them, the forest, and that kind of quiet, misty magic you dream of in wedding photos.

Their Wedding Day Timeline (With All the Good Bits)

  • Getting Ready: At home, with door games and traditional attire

  • Tea Ceremony: Beautiful, emotional, and full of respect

  • First Look: At Shannon Falls—complete with waterfall mist, magic, and no tourists in the background (how?! #protip)

  • Ceremony: On top of the world—literally—at the Sea-to-Sky Gondola

  • Reception: An intimate, joyful celebration at the summit

The sun came out, the wind stayed low (rare, but magical), and the views? Unreal. Their colours were classic blue and white, with floral perfection from Divine Decor. The Cake and the Giraffe delivered a showstopper cake, and the reception was lit—thanks to V & G Entertainment, who pulled double duty as DJ and special entertainment.

We also need to shout out the dream team:

  • Planner: Niche Events

  • Day-of Coordinator: Jeanine Wilk

  • Ceremony Musician: Jamie Ruddick

Custom photo frames were placed throughout the reception to celebrate the day, and we may or may not have seen a few happy tears when guests spotted themselves in print.

Pro Tips for Getting Married at Sea to Sky Gondola

  • Bring the hairspray. Wind is romantic until it’s not, make sure the veil is secure and you have an up-do

  • Time your ceremony for golden hour. The light up there? Chef’s kiss.

  • Keep guests comfy. Suggest layers or wraps—they’re 885 meters above sea level too.

Flat shoes for the gondola ride. Switch into stilettos at the top if you dare.

We’re in, for all of it! Let’s climb a mountain together (via gondola, obviously).

From door games to mountaintop vows, we’re there for the quiet moments, the loud laughs, and every bit of magic in between.
